Delta E (∆E) is a numerical value that represents the distance between colors. Delta E (∆E) has a range of 0, or exact match, to 100. This is traditionally used to measure the final color against the sample to determine if the match is successful. The smaller the Delta E (∆E), the better the match between colors.
