For the ColorReader and ColorReader EZ, make sure the protective lens cover caps have been removed before attempting to scan a color.

• ColorReader – Remove the black, screw-on protective lens cap. To not get lost of the cap, you can attach the cap on the opposite side of the ColorReader.
• ColorReader EZ – Flip back the white, protective lens flap on the bottom of the device.
